Meg with Jenni

Meg

The only surviving puppy of Swanndale Black Mist at Pennijar and Pennijar Talk of the North.

Meg is a very special puppy she was born after her sister Penny who was born at home naturally, at the vets by caesarian section as she was too big to be born naturally.  As a result of this delay Meg is slightly brain damaged, she did not walk until nearly 5 weeks old, she has twitching sessions a few times a day usually just before sleep, but she is happy and healthy in her self, and everyday with her is so special, obviously we would not let her suffer not for a minute, but she enjoys life and is an intregal part of our four legged family.

Our vet keeps a close eye on her and we do as well, she is slow at most things and did not loose the last of her baby teeth until she was 6 months old, and even now at 8 months she still cannot jump onto our furniture, we know her failings, but we love her dearly and with just a few changes to our lifestyle Meg has adapted very well, we know her and she knows us, in all other respects Meg is perfectly normal,  and as long as she can sustain a normal, healthy lifestyle and is happy in herself she will live a normal life with us and our four legged family.  Obviously we will never consider having puppies from her but by the same token we will not risk anasthesia to have her spayed, as we all think that could possible shorten her life considerably.

Like I said before Meg is a very Special Little Girl. We are so honored to be able to spend our lives with her no matter how long or short that may be, every new day is a bonus for us all.
